SJKP contributes to Storehouse – a Full Gospel Church initiative

Providing essential supplies to families in crisis in the Dalkeith area.

They deliver tinned or packaged food and essential household supplies.

During the Covid lockdown, you can drop items off at the Full Gospel Church on Wednesday mornings between 10am and 10:30am.

They particular welcome donations of: tinned pies (e.g. Fray Bentos), tinned macaroni cheese, spaghetti hoops etc and Pot Noodles, Pringles crisps and UHT milk.

This is a set of resources to help people connect with God.  There are booklets and an app.

Essentially, the booklet is a 7-day prayer guide for people who don’t see themselves as religious and don’t go to church.

Christians Against Poverty

CAP is an award-winning debt counselling charity through a network of centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to absolutely anyone in debt. The CAP service is unique, in-depth and absolutely FREE.

After you call CAP, a Debt Coach and support worker from your local CAP Debt Centre in Penicuik will visit you in your own home.

SJKP church is working in partnership with Penicuik South church to support them in their operation of a CAP Centre, providing volunteer support workers to accompany the Centre Manager on client visits and then, as befrienders, to follow up on those visits – helping meet clients’ social, practical and spiritual needs as appropriate.
